The shell of the Suomy Speedstar 2 is made from a new layering of carbon, aramid, and glass fibers, specifically designed to meet the stringent ECE 2206 approval standards. This innovative construction not only enhances the helmet’s protective capabilities but also significantly reduces its weight, making it comfortable for long rides. The helmet is available in two shell sizes, ensuring a perfect fit for various head shapes.
Comfortable and Safe Interiors
Inside the Speedstar 2, you’ll find Hydrocool interiors that are engineered for reliability, comfort, and safety. The helmet features an inner polystyrene shell available in three sizes (S, M, L) with variable densities. This design allows for better ergonomics and ensures that energy from impacts is absorbed progressively. The combination of the outer shell and the polystyrene interior optimizes mechanical performance, providing maximum absorption in all areas of the helmet.
Innovative Visor System
The visor of the Suomy Speedstar 2 is crafted from injection-molded polycarbonate, making it scratch-resistant and easy to remove with a tool-free system. The visor mechanism is constructed from a lightweight metal alloy, enhancing the overall durability of the assembly. Additionally, the helmet is equipped with a “Racing Lock System” (Pat Pend) that minimizes the risk of visor detachment during impacts while allowing for intuitive opening and closing.
